Container (10) has a rim (16) on a wall, integral flange (19, 20, 21) extending out from the wall below the rim, and the flange has a plurality of openings or recesses (72). Closure (11) has a central portion (14) and an integrally formed skirt (26, 29, 31). A plurality of projections or tabs (70) each extending from the skirt and insertable into a respective opening in the flange. A portion (74, 94) of that projection is caused to assume an orientation by a corresponding formation (85, 100, 101) of the flange, or alternatively a portion (81) of the flange is caused to assume an orientation by a corresponding aperture formation (73) of the projection; such that removal of the projection from the opening is resisted until the frangible connection is broken. The lid is securely fastened against removal as a result of dropping, knocking or bumping.

Plusieurs parties saillantes séparées (40) partent chacune de la chemise et viennent s'encastrer dans une ouverture correspondante du rebord de telle sorte qu'une partie saillante donnée est insérée dans une ouverture correspondante (72) du rebord, qu'une partie (74, 94) de cette dernière est forcée de prendre une orientation donnée par rapport à une formation correspondante (85, 100, 101) du rebord, ou bien une partie (81) du rebord est forcée de prendre une orientation donnée par rapport à une formation correspondante (73) de la partie saillante, à telle enseigne que le retrait de la partie saillante hors de l'ouverture se heurte à une certaine résistance.
