ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An angle valve adapted to be mounted on a container is disclosed. The valve has a housing with a flow passage through it, including a first branch for connection to the container and a second branch, tangential to the first, for connection to a load line. The first and second branches are connected by a valve chamber extending generally perpendicular to them both. The valve chamber contains a valve seat, a valve head engageable with the seat and a valve stem generally normal to the first branch of the flow pas- sage. The valve also includes a pressure-operated actuating device, acting on a tappet within the first branch of the flow passage to open a valve within the container.
