CONTAINER END CLOSURE ARRANGEMENT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention disclosed herein provides an end closure arrangement for a container consisting of a tubular container member having a relatively flat, annular rim with an axially outward facing sealing surface and a closure member having an axially inwardly facing rim complementary to that of the container member. A flat sealing membrane consisting of a metallic foil coated on both sides with a heat activatable plastic material is secured between and bonded to the rim portions of the container and closure members.
