The present invention provides an article of manufacture or package for containing and dispensing unitized doses of a laundry additive in article form. The package comprises a plurality of laundry additive articles (30), means for preventing exposure of the laundry articles to moisture prior to dispensing or use, and a container (10) having a compartment (25) and closure (20) for enclosing the plurality of articles in the container. The container can be a tub, tray, jar, bottle, pouch, bag, box or some combination thereof and will preferably be made from polymeric materials. Optionally, the container may have dividing means (28) for subdividing the container compartment into subcompartments so that the container can accomodate a variety of different additives in separate compartments. Optionally, but preferably, the container closure will have child resistant features as well as a window or other means for viewing the contents of the package when the closure is in a closed position. The means for preventing exposure of the articles to moisture may simply be a seal about the container closure or it may comprise separate a seal of each laundry additive article. Seals for the individual articles will preferably be a tray (32) with a recess formed therein for receiving the laundry additive article and a polymeric film (38) adhered to the tray over the recess to seal the article within.
L'invention concerne un article manufacturé ou un emballage servant à contenir et à distribuer des doses unitaires d'additifs de lessive sous forme d'article. Cet emballage comprend une pluralité d'articles d'additifs de lessive (30), un moyen pour éviter d'exposer ces articles de lessive à l'humidité avant leur distribution/utilisation, et un contenant (10) comportant un compartiment (25) et un couvercle (20) pour enfermer la pluralité d'articles dans le contenant. Ce contenant peut être sous forme de bac, de plateau, de pot, de bouteille, de sachet, de sac, de boîte ou d'une quelconque association de ces éléments, et il est de préférence fait de matières polymères. Ce contenant peut éventuellement comporter des séparations (28) qui subdivisent son compartiment en sous-compartiments logeant de manière séparée une variété d'additifs différents. Le couvercle du contenant peut éventuellement, mais préférablement, comprendre des caractéristiques à l'épreuve des enfants, ainsi qu'une fenêtre et d'autres éléments qui permettent de voir le contenu de l'emballage lorsque le couvercle est en position fermée. Le moyen permettant d'empêcher l'exposition des articles à l'humidité peut être simplement une barrière étanche entourant la fermeture du contenant, ou encore, comprendre une barrière étanche séparée pour chaque article d'additif de lessive. Les barrières étanches des articles séparés sont de préférence des plateaux (32) formant un creux à l'intérieur duquel sont logés les articles d'additifs de lessive, et auxquels est collé un film polymère (38), au-dessus du creux, pour enfermer hermétiquement l'article.
