Containers for shipping elongated articles such as the vanes of vertical blinds are preferably durable, reusable and collapsible, so that they can be returned in a compact form for reuse. A simple blank for forming such a container includes a pair of panels perpendicular to each other and connected at one edge by a corner integral with the panels, the free longitudinal edge of one panel including a semicylindrical head or bead, and the free longitudinal edge of the other panel including a complementary groove for slidably receiving the head on a second blank. The head of two opposed blanks are slid into the complementary grooves to interconnect the blanks, thus forming a four-sided elongated container, which can be disassembled by sliding the heads out of the grooves.
