The invention concerns a container for growing a plant, comprising a broad base (2) and an open-work side wall. The invention also concerns a method for growing plants, which consists in: holding the plant with a clip stem downwards and roots upwards; inserting in the plant root system a container (1) with a broad base and an open-work side wall, the container being set on the plant root system such that the container opening with the smallest cross-section points downwards and the opening with the largest cross-section points upwards; filling the container with soil, the soil being prevented from dropping out of the container by the clip used for maintaining the stem down; mounting directly a base on the container top end; turning the plant and the container the right way up; setting down the plant and the container, the broad base of the latter pointing towards the ground.

L'invention est relative à un conteneur pour la culture d'un plant. Il présente une base (2) élargie et une paroi latérale ajourée. L'invention est également relative à un procédé pour la culture de végétaux, consistant à: tenir un plant au moyen d'une pince adaptée tige en bas et racines en haut; introduire sur le système de racines du plant un conteneur (1) ayant une base élargie et une paroi latérale ajourée, le conteneur étant mis en place sur le système de racines du plant de sorte que l'ouverture du conteneur ayant la plus faible section soit dirigée vers le bas et l'ouverture ayant la plus grande section soit dirigée vers le haut; remplir de terre le conteneur, la terre étant empêchée de quitter le conteneur par la pince utilisée pour maintenir le plant tige en bas; rapporter à l'extrémité supérieure du conteneur un fond; retourner le plant et le conteneur; poser le plant avec son conteneur, la base élargie de ce dernier étant dirigée vers le sol.
