Provided is a container (1) for inspection, which stores and applies the contents. The container is provided with a container main body (2) having a port section (22) formed thereon; a cover material (3) attached to the port section (22) for sealing the container main body (2), and an opening cap (4) mounted on the cover material (3). The cover material (3) has a closing wall (34) for covering the port section (22). The opening cap (4) is provided with an applying port (421), and a cutting section (431) for cutting the closing wall (34). At the time of mounting the opening cap (4) on the cover material (3), the cutting section (431) cuts the closing wall (34) and permits the contents to be applied. Thus, the container (1), which ensures sealing performance by means of the cover material (3), cuts the closing wall (34) of the cover material (3) by the opening cap (4) mounted on the cover material (3) without removing the cover material (3), and applies the contents, is provided.
