The invention relates to a container for storing a product to be injected, especially a therapeutic or diagnostic liquid. Said container comprises a container body (2) and a piston body (3) which is arranged in the container body in a sliding manner and can be displaced between a rear end position that determines a maximum filling of the container, and a front end position, in order to dispense the product. The inventive container is characterised in that the maximum opening ratio H/L of the container body is approximately 1.25 and preferably approximately 1.0, H corresponding to the maximum height of the container body and L corresponding to the maximum distance between the lateral walls of the container body.
