A container comprised of laminate material, the material having opposite, downwardly extending, first and second edges (12 and 14), the container comprising one or more of the following features: firstly, the laminate material includes a fibrous cellulosic layer (11), the direction of the majority of fibres (13) in the layer (11) being substantially parallel to the first edge (12); secondly, the container includes a piece constituted by the laminate material and providing a body of the container, the container also including a bottom closure insert under which a bottom strip of the piece is folded and sealed, the insert including a substantially annular flange embraced by the piece, the embracing material consisting of an upper section that contains the flange and a lower section that does not contain the flange and is of at least one fifth of the height of the upper section; and, thirdly, the container having a flat top, and including a reinforcement over a corner of the flat top.
L'invention concerne un contenant formé d'un matériau stratifié, comprenant un premier et un second bord (12, 14) opposés s'étendant vers le bas. Ce contenant présente une ou plusieurs des caractéristiques suivantes: premièrement le matériau stratifié comprend une couche (11) cellulosique fibreuse, la majorité des fibres (13) comprises dans cette couche (11) étant sensiblement orientées dans une direction parallèle au premier bord (12); deuxièmement le contenant comprend une pièce formée du matériau stratifié et constituant le corps du contenant, le contenant comprenant en outre un élément de fermeture inférieur rapporté, sous lequel une bande inférieure de la pièce est repliée et collée, l'élément rapporté comprenant un rebord sensiblement annulaire encerclé par la pièce, et le matériau encerclant le rebord étant constitué d'une section supérieure contenant le rebord et d'une section inférieure ne contenant pas le rebord, et représentant au moins un cinquième de la hauteur de la section supérieure; et troisièmement le contenant comporte une partie supérieure plate, et comprend un renfort recouvrant un angle de cette partie supérieure plate.
