A container with a cover enabling an opening and closing cap to be fully opened or closed easily. A rotating shaft 17 is protruded from either side of an opening and closing cap 14, while a bearing 18 of the rotating shaft 17 is provided at a cover plate 12. A lock receiving portion 21 is provided adjacent to the bearing 18, while a full-closing locking portion 22 and a full-opening locking portion 23 that selectively engage with the lock receiving portion 21 by getting over the lock receiving portion 21 are provided adjacent to the rotating shaft 17. A torque required for releasing a locked condition accompanied with a full closing of the opening and closing cap is a distance G between the center of the rotating shaft 17 and the full-closing locking portion 22 times a resistance against elastic deformation in allowing the full- closing locking portion 22 to get over the receiving locking portion 21. When performing the opening and closing operation, smaller amount of loading resistance is required at the operation part 25 for opening and closing, thereby enabling the opening and closing operation to be performed more easily.
