ABSTRACT A container (10) of synthetic plastics film material is provided with a re-sealable closure in the form of a re-usable adhesive tape (20) which bridges an opening (17) so as to form an airtight closure. The container (10) is opened by peeling the tape (20) from a surface (14) with which the tape is in contact and the container (10) is re-closed by re-applying the tape to the surface (14).
