ABSTRACT A method of, and a machine for, making a filling tube for a container for bulk granular materials as well as a container liner having one or more of the filling tubes. A lip is formed on a sheet of plastics material by means of a mandrel and plastics tube is fitted over the mandrel and welded to the lip. The machine includes movable jaws incor- porating heating elements for carrying out the welding.
