A containment structure for securing translucent panels between first and second panels and providing a fluid tight seal between a frame and an adjoining structural member. The containment structure includes structural carrier members each having a top section adopted for connection of a first gasket, pressure bars each having a gasket accommodating surface for connection of a second gasket. The pressure bars are fastened to the structural carrier members to secure the translucent panels between the gaskets. The containment structure may also include one or more connector plates for connecting the frame to an adjoining structural member, a structural carrier gasket for providing a seal between the frame and an adjoining structural member and a connector plate gasket for providing seals between the one or more connector plates and the adjoining structural member. The structural carrier members may be connected together with ball lock pins, hall locks and screws that lock the structural carrier members together.
