ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to the field of liquid dispensing and metering devices that dispense a solution in drop form and protects the solution from contamination. In applications where contamination and proper dosage is a concern, the prior art discloses dispensers related both to the use of anti- bacterial agents added to the solution to prevent contamination and the use of a single dose device. Both present problems, as the addition of the agent causes allergic reactions in some users, while the single dose device is inconvenient to the frequent user. Prior art dispensers also do not permit control of metering for proper dosage. This invention solves these problems by providing a filter in the dropper portion of the device to prevent contamination of the solution. The device includes a dropper having an outlet and filter. The filter is a composite consisting of a liquophilic component and a liquophobic component.
