The present invention relates to a system and method for accessing television program information, particularly context sensitive information, some of which may be found through the Internet. A method according to the present invention is presented for interactively displaying program information on a television, the method comprising the steps of receiving a request for program information; displaying program information; receiving a request for additional information; and generating at least one automatic search term for a search for the additional information.
