Contiguous overlapping peptides (COPs) for the treatment of allergic patients by Specific Immunotherapy (SIT) are provided from the sequence of the major allergen of birch pollen Bet v 1. Such peptides while providing all potential T cell epitopes are devoid of the 3D structure of the original allergen, therefore reducing their ability to bind IgE.

La présente invention concerne des peptides contigus se chevauchant (COP) destinés au traitement de patients allergiques par une immunothérapie spécifique (SIT) appartenant à la séquence de l'allergène majeur du pollen de bouleau Bet v 1. De tels peptides, tout en fournissant tous les épitopes des lymphocytes T potentiels, ne présentent pas la structure tridimensionnelle de l'allergène d'origine, réduisant de ce fait leur capacité à se lier à l'IgE.
