ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Method and mould for the continuous slide casting and compacting of a concrete mix having a high viscosity in a mould having an elongated bottom wall and a pair of side walls between which the mix slides, the side walls being formed of a plurality of successive sections with each section of one side wall facing a like section of the other side wall so as to form pairs of facing side wall sections. The facing side wall sections of each pair are synchronously pivoted back and forth across the bottom wall while the wall sections of each pair are constantly held in parallel relationship.
