The invention relates to a continuous casting roll for casting molten baths, especially steel molten baths. Said casting roll comprises a roll barrel (2) consisting of a metallic material, to which a layer (4) of metallic material is applied, the metallic material of the layer having a higher hardness than that of the roll barrel (2). The inventive continuous casting roll has a longer service life and improved properties for use. This is achieved by providing the layer (4) with lower hardness over its thickness in its region adjacent to the roll barrel (2) than in the region of its free surface (5).
L'invention concerne un rouleau de coulée continue utilisé pour couler du métal liquide, notamment de l'acier liquide, comportant un corps (2) en matériau métallique, sur lequel est appliquée une couche () à base de matériau métallique de plus grande dureté que celle du matériau constituant le corps (2) du rouleau. Le rouleau de coulée continue selon l'invention présente une plus grande durée de vie et de meilleures propriétés d'utilisation. Pour ce faire, il est prévu que la couche (4) présente, vue sur son épaisseur (D), dans la zone jouxtant le corps (2) du rouleau, une dureté inférieure à celle de la zone de sa surface libre (5).
