A method and apparatus for casting steel. The apparatus has a variable length secondary belt conveyor (12) for introducing minute charge materials, a skirted self-positioning charging cart (14) engaging the secondary conveyor (12), a charge conveyor (16) for receiving charge material having a means for maintaining a homogeneous scrap bed height that is coupled to the self-positioning cart (14), a dynamic gas seal (18) coupled to both the charge conveyor (16) and a preheater (20), the preheater (20) communicating with the charge conveyor (16) for preheating the charge material on the charge conveyor (16). a connecting car (22) for feeding charge materials into a furnace bath (138) that is removably coupled to the preheater (20) and charge conveyor (16), an electric arc furnace (24) for refining charge therein, an intermediate metallurgical vessel (26) that receives the molten metal discharged from the furnace (24), and a continuous casting device (28) that receives refined-alloyed steel directly from the intermediated metallurgical vessel (26).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de coulée de l'acier. L'appareil de cette invention comprend: un transporteur à courroie secondaire (12) de longueur variable, permettant d'introduire des matières de charge à mouler; un chariot de chargement à jupe autoréglable (14) conçu pour entrer en contact avec le transporteur secondaire (12); un transporteur de charge (16) qui reçoit une matière de charge, ce transporteur étant muni d'un organe, couplé audit chariot de chargement autoréglable (14), qui permet de conserver l'homogénéité de la hauteur de la boite de déchets; un joint dynamique étanche aux gaz (18), couplé à la fois au transporteur de charge (16) et à un préchauffeur (20), celui-ci communiquant avec ledit transporteur de charge (16) afin de préchauffer les matières de charge placées sur ce dernier; un wagon de raccordement (22) permettant d'introduire lesdites matières de charge dans le bain (138) d'un four couplé de manière amovible au préchauffeur (20) et au transporteur de charge (16); un four à arc électrique (24) destiné à raffiner la charge qu'il contient; un réacteur métallurgique intermédiaire (26) recevant le métal en fusion déchargé par le four (24); et enfin un dispositif de coulée continue (28) destiné à recevoir l'acier allié raffiné directement depuis ledit réacteur métallurgique intermédiaire (26).
