This converter comprises: a transformer with two primaries (P1, P2); a voltage source (V in), one of whose terminals is connected at the centre point; and two switches (T1, T2), placed in series between the other voltage source terminal and a primary, which represent a parasitic capacitance that creates a transition time between the opening of one switch and the closing of the other. The transformer is built on a magnetic air gap circuit, and each primary includes a number of turns of wire determined essentially on the basis of the losses in the magnetic circuit, the size of the air gap being adjusted in terms of the number of turns and the working frequency, so as to reduce the transformer's magnetizing inductance to a value such that the said transition time will be below a given threshold corresponding to the tolerable limit of the form factor.

Ce convertisseur comprend: un transformateur avec deux primaires (P1, P2); une source de tension (V in) dont l'une des bornes est reliée au point milieu; et deux commutateurs (T1, T2), montés en série entre l'autre borne de la source et un primaire, qui présentent une capacité parasite imposant un temps de transition entre ouverture d'un commutateur et fermeture de l'autre. Le transformateur est réalisé sur un circuit magnétique à entrefer et chaque primaire comporte un nombre de spires déterminé essentiellement en fonction du niveau des pertes au sein du circuit magnétique, la dimension de l'entrefer étant ajustée, compte tenu de ce nombre de spires et de la fréquence de travail, de manière à réduire l'inductance de magnétisation du transformateur à une valeur telle que ledit temps de transition soit inférieur à un seuil donné correspondant à la limite tolérable du facteur de forme.
