ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method and apparatus for producing an ammonia, high-poly phosphate solution for use as a fertilizer by use of a continuous, non-stop flow that reacts ammonium sulfate in a nitrogen phosphate solution. Phosphoric acid is reacted with anhydrous ammonia while introducing into the reaction ammonium sulfate. The apparatus of the present invention generally includes storage containers for the components which are delivered from the containers by feed lines to a melt tank where they are mixed under a heat catalyst to create an ammonium poly-phosphate product. The hot product is directed to a cooler after first going through an ammonia vaporizer where some of the product's heat energy is absorbed by the liquid ammonia in its conversion into ammonia gas for use in the process.
