ABSTRACT Cold-rolled steel strip is heated to a temperature higher than its recrystallization, temperature, preferably faster than 4°C/s. Optionally the strip is then held for more than 30 seconds. The strips is then cooled by immersion in an aqueous bath maintained at substantially its boiling temperature.
