An improved electromagnetic shield for a photodetector which uses a wire mesh screen laminated to an insulating layer. A portion of the wire mesh screen and laminated layer sandwich can then be cut out to provide an individual electromagnetic shield. The sandwich combination (24) is flexible, and can be easily wrapped around the photodetector (26). Preferably, an adhesive is on one side of the insulating layer, to allow the wrapped combination to adhere to the photodetector.

Cette invention concerne un blindage électromagnétique perfectionné destiné à un photodétecteur qui fait usage d'un écran en treillis métallique contrecollé à une couche isolante. Il est possible de découper une partie de la structure en sandwich constituée de l'écran de treillis métallique et de la couche isolante pour obtenir un écran électromagnétique individuel. Cette combinaison à structure en sandwich (24) est flexible et peut être aisément enroulée autour du photodétecteur (26). De préférence, l'une des faces de la couche isolante est recouverte d'adhésif et permet à ladite combinaison enroulée d'adhérer au photodétecteur.
