ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A transplanting machine having rotary transplanting rods which clasp the forward most one of the row of continuous potted seedlings of a continuous paper tube pot assembly potted seedlings so as to draw out the row of continuous potted seedlings. Further, said rotary transplanting rods separate the forward most one from the row of continuous potted seedlings in cooperation with a stopping mechanism for stopping said draw-out, and plant the separated potted seedling into the field by said rotary transplanting rod while clasping it.
