Abstract of the disclosure: Continuous process for the preparation of ketals Process for the preparation of compounds of the formula I Image (I), in which R1 is C3- or C4-alkyl and R2 is (C1-C2)alkyl, by reaction of a compound of the formula II R1 - ? - CH3 (II) with the compounds of the formulae III and IV R2 - OH HC(OR2)3 , in which (III) (IV) R1 and R2 have the abovementioned meanings, which comprises allowing a mixture of the starting substances II-IV to flow continuously over an acid contact catalyst.
