Continuous process for the telomerization of conjugated dienes comprising reacting a conjugated diene with a compound containing an active hydrogen atom in the liquid phase in the presence of a Group VIII transition metal catalyst and a terti~~ phosphorous, arsenic or antimony ligand compound, wherein at least 10.000 moles of conjugated diene are fed to the reacti~~ zone per gram atom of the Group VIII transition metal of the catalyst fed to the reaction zone.
