ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The continuous separation of the solid phase in the purification of zinc sulphate solutions is carried out by subjecting the solutions to a continuous filtration in a chamber disc filter including filtering elements clothed with a synthetic filtering cloth and under an elevated pressure up to 4 atm. to obtain copper-cadmium and cobalt cakes in the form of a fine grained precipitate, and mechanically removing the precipitate from the filtering elements by the action of a jet of hot zinc sulphate solution under pressure.
