ABSTRACT Nickel values are recovered from ammoniacal solutions in a continuous solvent extraction process uti- lizing a plurality of elongated columns containing a mul- tiplicity of spaced-apart, perforated trays, or decks. The organic solvent constitutes an oxime and at least one species of hydrocarbon diluent having from three to seven carbon atoms per molecule. Elevated pressures in the range of about 100 to 1,000 psig. (7.03 to 70.3 kg./ sq.cm.) are utilized.
