The invention relates to a continuous method of purification by distillation of 1,2-propylene glycol that accumulates as a by-product during the synthesis of propylene oxide. Said method is characterised in that the mixture that is produced during said synthesis, which contains the 1,2-propylene glycol, is separated in a dividing wall column into a low-boiler, medium-boiler and high- boiler fraction and that 1,2-propylene glycol is drawn off laterally from the column as a medium boiler.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de purification par distillation en continu du 1,2-propylène glycol, produit secondaire formé au cours de la synthèse d'oxyde de propylène. L'invention se caractérise en ce que le mélange résultant de la synthèse qui contient le 1,2-propylène glycol, est séparé dans une colonne à paroi de séparation en une fraction à bas point d'ébullition, une fraction à point d'ébullition intermédiaire et une fraction à point d'ébullition élevé, le 1-2-propylène glycol étant prélevé en tant que produit à point d'ébullition intermédiaire, par aspiration latérale de la colonne.
