A multi-line continuous wideband tunable laser (1) utilizes a symmetric or asymmetric grating (5) and a plurality of optical fibers (3), each of which forms a part of a respective laser cavity optical axis. By simultaneously altering both the periodicity of the intersections of the grating (5) with the plurality of optical axes established by the plurality of optical fibers (3) and the effective cavity length of each laser (1), a single-line spectral output is achieved at any desired point in the operating band.

Laser (1) multiligne accordable, à large bande continue, dans lequel on utilise un sélecteur de mode (5) symétrique ou asymétrique ainsi qu'une pluralité de fibres optiques (3), chacune de celles-ci formant une partie d'un axe optique respectif de cavité de laser. En modifiant simultanément à la fois la périodicité des intersections du sélecteur de mode (5) à l'aide d'une pluralité d'axes optiques établis par la pluralité de fibres optiques (3), et la longueur efficace de la cavité de chaque laser (1), on obtient une présentation spectrale à une seule ligne au niveau d'un quelconque point souhaité dans la bande de fonctionnement.
