Continuously variable transmission (1000) with a first (1028) and a second (1030) carrier member, which are axially coupled by a carrier retaining ring (1036) and which are relatively rotational to each other. The transmission ratio is changed by tilting the axles of the traction planets (spheres), which is caused by a relative rotation between the first and second carrier members.

Linvention concerne une transmission à variation continue (1000) dotée dun premier (1028) et dun second (1030) éléments de support couplés axialement par une bague de retenue de support (1036) et pouvant tourner les uns par rapport aux autres. Le taux de transmission est modifié par linclinaison des essieux des planètes de traction (sphères) provoquée par une rotation relative entre les premier et second éléments de support.
