Zigzag-shaped pouches (20) are formed from flexible web material by positioning two portions of the web material in overlying relation and sealing them together along top (24), bottom (25), and opposite side edges (26, 27) of the pouch. The side edges of the pouch are made up of a plurality of linear segments connected end-to-end and alternately inclined in opposite directions to form a zigzag~-shaped edge. Each linear segment of one edge is substantially parallel to a corresponding segment of the opposite edge, such that the two edges are substantially complementary in shape, whereby the pouch as a whole has a zigzag shape.
L'invention concerne des sachets (20) en zigzag formés à partir d'un matériau de bande souple par positionnement de deux parties de matériau de bande l'une sur l'autre et par scellement de ces parties le long des bords supérieur (24), inférieur (25) et latéraux opposés (26, 27) du sachet. Les bords latéraux du sachet sont composés d'une pluralité de segments linéaires connectés bout-à-bout et inclinés de façon alternée dans des sens opposés afin de former des bords en zigzag. Chaque segment linéaire d'un bord est sensiblement parallèle à un segment correspondant du bord opposé, de sorte que deux bord sont sensiblement de forme complémentaire, le sachet présentant de ce fait une forme globale en zigzag.
