ABREGE DESCRIPTIF La présente invention a pour objet un agent de contraste pour l'imagerie par RMN constitué d'un complexe entre un agent chélatant et des cations de métal paramagnétique, caractérisé en ce que ledit complexe répond à la formule I: Image I ou un sel physiologiquement acceptable de ce complexe, formule dans laquelle - n, n' sont des nombres entiers identiques ou différents de 1 à 4 - les n et n' (R1, R2) et (R4, R5) respectivement identiques ou différents, R3 et (R6, R7) sont choisis parmi H, un halogène, les groupes alkyl, alcoxy, aryl, alkényl, cycloalkyl éventuellement substitués par des groupes halogènes alcoxy, alkyl, nitril, nitro ou amino, ?C (R6, R7) pouvant en outre représenter ?C = O ; - les trois substituants Y sont identiques ou différents et représentent H ou un équivalent ionique de cation de métal paramagnétique divalent ou trivalent ou d'un cation physiologiquement acceptable provenant d'une base minérale ou organique, avec la condition que deux au moins des substituants Y représentent des équivalents ioniques de cations de métaux paramagnétiques.
