2046342 9009544 PCTABScor01 A control device for a tiltable mounting head, such as the mounting head for a camera, has a three element pantographic linkage including a rigid control arm (22) of which an intermediate point is constrained to move along a horizontal path. One end of the arm (22) is pivotally mounted to an arm (16) carrying the tiltable head, while the other end is pivotally mounted to a locating arm (10) whose remote end is pivoted to fixed structure (28). The relative angular position of the two arms (10, 16) is controlled by two parallelogram linkages (12, 30, 18; 14, 32, 30) with different degrees of fold and having the central arm (22) in common, whereby one of the two linkages is always laterally spaced from the arm (22). Alternatively the two arms (10, 16) may be secured to respective sprockets (44, 46) pivoted to the arm (22) and connected together by a chain (40, 42).
