CONTROL DEVICE FOR AIR BRAKES OF RAILWAY VEHICLES Abstract of the Disclosure A compressed-air control device, particularly for the air brakes of railway vehicles, has at least one pressure-monitored air reservoir such as that employed for the control reservoir in the operator's brake valve. The reservoir is filled with a thermal storage medium having a large surface to volume relationship and a large thermal capacity at least on its surface. The heat from the medium is emitted to the environment of the medium and the medium has exceptionally low resistance to the flow of air through the reservoir. The pressure in the reservoir may be monitored by a valve having a control element including a variable inductance choke coil for delay actuation of the valve. -1-
