ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A control device for a movable article capable of permitting the movable article to give viewers much inter- est and surprise and impress viewers as if there is any communication between the viewers and the movable article. The control device includes a body formed in imitation of a loudspeaker, and a switch and a sound sensor provided on the body. A movable article is arranged outside the device body which includes a motor electrically connected to the switch and sensor and a sound generating section and a mo- tion section carrying out various operations by turning-on of the switch and sensor. When the switch is turned on, the motor is rotated in a positive direction, resulting in the sound generating section generating predetermined sound. Also, when the sound sensor is turned on upon de- tection of sound, leading to the rotation of the motor in the opposite direction, the generation of sound from the sound generating section is stopped and concurrently the motion section carries out predetermined motion.
