A control device for a household electrical appliance such as a refrigerator (1), an electric or microwave oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine or the like, said appliance (1) comprising an interface (10, 110) enabling a user to intervene on its functional members (12) such as an electric motor, a motor-driven compressor, a heater element or the like controlled by command and control means (11) of the appliance (1), the interface (10, 110) comprising selection means (15, 115) to enable the said intervention; said selection means (15, 115) are connected to a resonant electrical circuit (22, 122) arranged to generate or to respond to a radio- frequency signal in a modifiable manner representative of the setting effected by the user, said signal being sensed by sensor means (41, 141) associated with the command and control means (11) and enabling these latter to intervene in the appropriate manner on said functional members (12).
