CONTROL MECHANISM FOR GRIPPER SHUTTLES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Control mechanism for gripper shuttles comprising a shuttle box which contains an elongated groove for receiving a gripper shuttle, a braking member which moves toward the groove for engaging and checking the shuttle as it enters the groove and which moves away from the groove to allow the shut- tle to be picked; means for positioning the shuttle within the shuttle box after it has been checked; and restraining means located in the groove for restraining the shuttle against sliding movement in the groove to maintain the shuttle in the proper position after it has been positioned and which allows the shuttle to be picked out of the shuttle box.
