The invention relates to controlling (3) a flow control valve (1), comprising measuring a flow at a suitable point of a flow process (5) and calculating a pressure drop across the valve by means of a Cv curve of the valve, a measured valve opening .sigma.m, and the measured flow (Qm). By means of this calculated pressure drop, a flow set point (Qsp) and an inverse Cv curve of the valve, a new valve opening (ac) providing the desired flow is calculated. The control is thus adapted to each operating point and its prevailing flow gain and linearizes the dependence between flow control and flow.

L'invention concerne le contrôle (3) d'une vanne de régulation de débit (1) consistant à mesurer le débit à un point approprié d'un écoulement (5) et à calculer la perte de pression dans la vanne grâce à une courbe Cv de la vanne, à une mesure de l'ouverture de la vanne .sigma.m, et à la mesure du débit (Qm). Grâce au calcul de la perte de pression, à un point de consigne de débit (Qsp) et à une courbe Cv inverse de la vanne, une nouvelle ouverture de la vanne (ac) fournissant le débit désiré est calculée. Le contrôle est donc adapté à chaque point de fonctionnement et au gain en débit s'y rapportant et linéarise la dépendance entre la régulation de débit et le débit.
