Disclosed is a method of controlling the mass of fuel delivered to an engine subject to a change in engine load demand comprising determining a rate of change of fuel required per cycle with time in response to the change in engine load demand; and, applying a filter constant to the determined rate of change of fuel required per cycle with time to maintain a value of the rate of change of fuel required per cycle of the engine with time at no greater than a predetermined threshold level.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de régulation de la quantité de carburant fournie à un moteur subissant des variations de charge, ce procédé consistant à déterminer un taux de variation d'alimentation en carburant nécessaire par cycle, en fonction du temps, en réponse à une variation de la charge du moteur, puis à appliquer une constante de filtration par rapport à ce taux de variation d'alimentation afin de maintenir une valeur de ce taux de variation d'alimentation en carburant nécessaire par cycle du moteur, en fonction du temps, valeur qui ne doit pas être supérieure à un seuil prédéterminé.
