Method and apparatus for the control of deposition of contaminants in pumping systems. The method including the steps of periodically stopping the pump and backfeeding chlorinated water and/or surfactants and other organic or inorganic acids at a reduced flow rate through the outlet pipe and thus through the pump itself to control the deposition of materials by bacterial action and/or to control biofouling and/or abiotic encrustation. The apparatus including control means (3, 7, 8, 9) to provide a back flow through the pumping installation of water at a reduced flow rate and feeding means (4) to feed into said back flow decontaminants.

Procédé et appareil de régulation du dépôt d'agents contaminants dans des systèmes de pompage. Le procédé consiste à arrêter périodiquement la pompe et à introduire en sens inverse de l'eau chlorée et/ou des tensioactifs et autres acides organiques ou inorganiques à un débit réduit dans le conduit de sortie et, de ce fait, à travers la pompe elle-même, afin de réguler le dépôt de matières par action bactérienne et/ou de réguler la biosalissure et/ou l'incrustation abiotique. L'appareil comprend des moyens de commande (3, 7, 8, 9) produisant un écoulement inverse d'eau à un débit réduit à travers l'installation de pompage, ainsi que des moyens d'alimentation (4) permettant d'introduire des agents de décontamination dans ledit écoulement inverse.
