A hierarchical control system (203) for supervising operations of an autonomous operator located within a defined geographical region containing a localised zone having an operation-defined boundary. The control system (203) has a primary controller (604) associated with the defined geographical region and a secondary controller (605) associated with the localised zone. The secondary controller (605) is responsive to the supervisory control of the primary controller (604). The autonomous operator, if located within the localised zone, is responsive to the supervisory control of the secondary controller (605).

L'invention concerne un système de commande hiérarchique (203) destiné à superviser les opérations d'un opérateur autonome situé dans une région géographique définie contenant une zone localisée présentant une frontière définie par lesdites opérations. Le système de commande de (203) comporte un contrôleur primaire (604) associé à la région géographique définie et un contrôleur secondaire (605) associé à la zone localisée. Le contrôleur secondaire (605) réagit à la commande de supervision du contrôleur primaire (604). Si l'opérateur autonome est situé dans la zone localisée, il réagit à la commande de supervision du contrôleur secondaire (605).
