A CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLABLY FILLING AND EMPTYING A RESERVOIR AND A CONTROL ELEMENT THEREFOR Abstract of the Disclosure An elongate linear cylindrical member, made of a resilient material, has a first valve for opening and closing a first opening adjacent one end of the cylindrical member, and a second valve for opening and closing a second opening adjacent the other end of the cylindrical member. A passageway extends through the interior of the cylindrical member and a third valve, between the first and second valves, is disposed to block or unblock the passageway. A reservoir, for example, a pipette, is removably affixed to one end of the cylindrical member, and a pumping member, such as a bulb made of a resilient material, is removably affixed to the other end of the cylindrical member.
