ABSTRACT A control system for suspension cylinders mounted on a vehicle is capable of preventing the vehicle body from rolling without any delay in response when the vehicle is turning. It also is capable of preventing the vehicle body from rolling even when it is turning along a circular arc path having a fixed diameter. The suspension cylinders are mounted between the vehicle body and the front and rear wheels on the left and right sides. Fluid pressure sensors detect the internal fluid pressure in each of the suspen- sion cylinders. A steering angle sensor detects the steer- ing angle of a steering wheel mounted on the vehicle. A controller receives signals from the sensors and transmits a signal for increasing the damping forces provided by the suspension cylinders in accordance with the steering angular velocity transmitted by the steering angle sensor until the difference between the fluid pressure in the left and right suspension cylinders for the front and rear wheels becomes less than a predetermined value.
