ABSTRACT A control unit for a central heating system of the type in which a heated fluid is circulated in a main distributing section and a group distributing section. The unit consists of a first body in the main distri- buting section pipe and a second unit in the group distributing section. The first body has a shunt valve for controlling flow between the two bodies, and thus the two sections. The second body may be provided with a pump for circulating fluid in the group distributing section. The two bodies are con- nected via two thermally insulating non-return valves. The thermal con- ductivity of the valves is less than 1.00 kcal/m h °C.
