An adhesive composition includes one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, a polymerization initiator and a polymerization accelerator for the one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers. A system for treating living tissue includes a first reservoir containing one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, a second reservoir in a non-contacting relationship with the first reservoir containing a polymerization initiator and accelerator for the one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, and an applicator for combining the polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomer and the polymerization initiator and accelerator to form an adhesive composition and then applying the adhesive composition to living tissue. The initiator may be a quaternary ammonium salt, and the accelerator may be a trihydroxy tertiary amine.
La présente invention concerne une composition adhésive qui renferme un ou plusieurs monomères polymérisables de cyanoacrylate, un initiateur de polymérisation et un accélérateur de polymérisation pour le ou les monomères polymérisables de cyanoacrylate. Un système de traitement de tissu vivant comprend un premier réservoir contenant un ou plusieurs monomères polymérisables de cyanoacrylate, un second réservoir disposé dans une relation sans contact avec le premier réservoir contenant un initiateur et un accélérateur de polymérisation pour le ou les monomères polymérisables de cyanoacrylate et un applicateur pouvant combiner le monomère polymérisable de cyanoacrylate et l'initiateur de polymérisation pour former une composition adhésive et pouvant appliquer ensuite la composition adhésive sur le tissu vivant. L'initiateur peut être un sel d'ammonium quaternaire et l'accélérateur peut être une amine tertiaire trihydroxy.
