Spent FCC catalyst is regenerated under net reducing conditions in a regenerator to minimize the migration of vanadium on the spent FCC catalyst particles. Reducing conditions in at least the bottom 50% of the catalyst bed are maintained by using at least two air distribution grids located in the lower 50% of the catalyst bed.

Le catalyseur épuisé FCC est régénéré dans un régénérateur dans des conditions à effet réducteur net afin de réduire au minimum la migration du vanadium sur les particules de catalyseur FCC épuisé. On maintient des conditions réductrices dans au moins les 50% inférieurs du lit du catalyseur à l'aide d'au moins deux grilles de distribution d'air situées dans les 50% inférieurs du lit du catalyseur.
