A connector is provided for electrically connecting a first printed circuit board to a second printed circuit board in a co-planar arrangement. The connector comprises an electrically conductive shielding housing having formed in a top shielding housing portion a channel. The shielding housing has formed therethrough a plurality of apertures having a predetermined center. The apertures are arranged in a predetermined pattern. A pin array comprises an electrically non-conducting body and a plurality of pin contacts which extendfrom the electrically non-conducting body. Each pin defines a centerline. The pin array is dimensioned to be insertably positioned within the channel such that each pin centerline is aligned with an aperture center. A dielectric material having a dielectric constant of 1.000, is disposed between each pin and the shielding housing.
