ABSTRACT A method for performing abrasive flow machining through an orifice to a constant, predetermined rate of flow of the abrasive medium, where the dynamic rate of the abrasive medium is directly related to the target rate of flow of a fluid through the orifice. It will be possible to control the abrasive flow at a constant pressure or a predetermined rate of displacement of a driving piston of constant area. If either pressure or flow rate is set, the other factor will be determined by media viscosity and orifice dimension.
