A controlled-release composition for a biologically active material, characterized in that it comprises a mixture of: a) monocaproin, optionally in admixture with monocaprylin and/or monocaprin, and b) a polar liquid selected from the group consisting of such polar liquids which are capable of forming an L2 phase with a), and c) a biologically active material dissolved or dispersed in said mixture of a) and b), a) being present in the composition, based on the total weight of a) + b), in an amount of from the lower limit where the mixture of a) and b) forms a reversed micellar (L2) structure and up to 100 % by weight of a), with the further proviso that said mixture of a) and b) is essentially within that specific domain of the L2 structure, in a phase diagram, where said L2 structure will change to a normal micellar (L1) structure if contacted with an external polar liquid. Said composition is preferably used as a medical composition.
Cette composition à libération régulée, qui est destinée à une substance biologiquement active, se caractérise en ce qu'elle comprend un mélange: (a) de monocaproïne, éventuellement mélangée à de la monocapryline et/ou à de la monocaprine; et (b) d'un liquide polaire choisi dans le groupe constitué de liquides polaires capables de former une phase L2 avec a); et (c) d'une substance biologiquement active dissoute ou dispersée dans le mélande de a) et b), a) étant présent dans la composition, sur la base du poids total de a) + b), en une quantité comprise entre la limite inférieure où le mélange de a) et b) forme une structure micellaire inversée (L2) et 100 % en poids de a), à la condition encore que ce mélange de a) et b) soit essentiellement contenu dans le domaine spécifique de la structure L2, dans un diagramme de phase où cette structure L2 va passer à une structure micellaire normale (L1), si elle est mise en contact avec un liquide polaire externe. Cette composition est de préférence utilisée comme composition médicale.
